Internet in Poland: important nuances

Important information
Please be at home during the entire agreed installation time window. For example, if the visit is scheduled from 13:00 to 16:00, the technician may arrive at any time within this interval, including slightly earlier or closer to 16:00, depending on availability. If no one is at home at the time of arrival, the technician will move to the next address, and a new appointment will need to be scheduled. In some cases, reinstallation may take up to a week.
The connection can only be completed for the person who signed the contract with the provider. This person must be present during the visit and sign the documents on the technician’s tablet. If another person is present, the installation cannot be completed.
In rare cases, the previous tenant may not have disconnected the Internet at your address. In this case, you may need a copy of the lease agreement showing the tenant’s full name, installation address, and the landlord’s signature.
It may also happen that fiber optic cable has already been installed in the building, but not yet brought into the apartment. In such cases, the apartment owner’s consent may be required to drill a hole in the wall. If necessary, the technician will contact the owner directly. After installation, the hole is usually carefully sealed.
Important: during installation, please make sure you have access to the keys for the basement, stairwell, or technical room where the provider’s main distribution panel is located. Sometimes the technician needs access to this panel to complete the installation. Since it is not always located in an obvious or accessible place, it is recommended to prepare the keys in advance.
